In the world of rock&roll, there have been many tragedies that have occurred. Due to the high risk, high reward lifestyle of these performers, they would often get caught up in things like drug and alcohol dependency, leading to many deaths at a very young age. So many, in fact, that there is even a “27 Club,” full of famous rock&roll legends that all died at the age of 27, such as Jimi Hendrix, Brian Jones, and Kurt Cobain. You’ll find some of them on this list, as well as many other musicians. Of course, we couldn’t list them all… but here are a few of the most tragic deaths in music history:
1. GG Allin
GG Allin is notorious for the antics that he put on during live shows and when meeting his fans. This highly disputed singer is famous for doing things like peeing on his audience members, performing acts of coprophagia, and being overall violent towards his cult-like followers. Though GG promised his fans that he would commit suicide on-stage, he eventually ended up dying from an accidental heroin overdose at the age of 36. During his funeral, his body was dressed in a Hawaiian shirt and was shot out of a cannon, following the rocker’s request.
